Pieces of Memories
Dawn blooms under a blanket of overcast clouds. Draped in a warm, and very heavy patchwork gown, a woman with dark hair pinned into a loose bun strides gently along a sandy path headed to the sea. Hundreds of pieces of heirloom fabrics, each with a story to tell, are stitched together like a journal of her life. The ocean breeze lightly kisses her face, causing tendrils of her hair to lift out and dance around her head. Mysterious sparks skitter around her in a constellation of memories. These sparks of thoughts become daytime stars, the images in her mind swirl around her before cascading back down to earth. She's walked this path to the water countless times, yet each day the sea is different, each day the weeds change their tune, and each day she breathes in the ocean and exhales her gratitude to be alive.
